A maxi dress for all seasons! It’s available in black and two different prints (Ditsy Cheetah and Wild Flower, which I am wearing) as well as petite sizing (hooray!).

Gibson, as always, has masterfully created a maxi dress that is flattering on all body types. The material is very flowy and lined down to the knee (a very smart choice in my opinion since lining is necessary but also really toasty, no need to go past the knee with extra material). Also, it’s washable which is always a win in my book!

Gibson designs several collaborations with bloggers and I love to see what they co-create together. This one is Gibson x City Safari with fashion and lifestyle blogger Jaime Schrayber and it is under the same collection as the midi skirt I wore in this week’s Try It On Tuesday post.

Great for All Seasons

The Wild Flower print I chose is a great transitional design since it can be worn in warmer weather but also incorporates fall and winter colors. I have it paired with tortoiseshell accessories (the clutch and earrings) from the Tuckernuck post recently, but you could add almost anything since the colors in the dress allow for so much flexibility.

The smocked neck and fitted waistline help create shape in the dress and allow the rest of the design to appear flowy and balanced. For fun, I added a denim jacket as well as a moto jacket for those cool fall evenings.

Styling Options

You could easily wear this with a blazer, cardigan, or a wrap (aka pashmina like here). I would bet you have a few things in your closet that will complement this dress in cooler months!

As for shoes, it’s up to you and your level of comfort since your feet are not visible. I had heels on underneath, but sandals, booties, sneakers, heels – they all work depending on your mood and where you’re headed. Comfort and fashion don’t have to be mutually exclusive, at least in my opinion!

Are you a fan of maxi dresses? How do you like to style them?
