Have you noticed Rothy’s prancing around town or in your social media feeds lately? I first saw the original flats on a stylist at my hair salon and asked her about them. She said they were Rothy’s and were so comfortable and worth the investment. In my opinion, when someone that stands most of the day cutting, coloring, and styling hair tells you that a pair of shoes are comfortable, you listen!

I checked them out online and saw that they not only had the standard flats, but also pointed toe and a few other styles. I didn’t purchase immediately as I wanted some more time to think about the style and color I would want to order, especially since I couldn’t just go try them on to see how they fit and looked in person.

“In three years, Rothys has repurposed over 20 million water bottles  (into shoes !!) and counting which is fantastic. “

I let the thought go for a while and then I saw them on another friend and she said that they were the BEST shoes. She used them at her child’s swim meet and her feet stayed dry. What?! These shoes seemed to be everywhere and I finally decided to order them. I am now hooked on Rothy’s and wondered what took me so long to press the button.

I ordered the The Flat in Mink and also The Point in Leopard. In general they fit true to size but I think I could have managed to go up a half size solely for the humid summers here. Also, I might be in denial that my feet grew about a half size after my second daughter was born but, I’ll leave that discussion for another day! ?

The Best Part

News flash if you have not heard this already, the shoes are made out of recycled water bottles!! Not only that, but you can take the insert out and wash them. Magical shoes my friends, magical shoes.

They are comfortable, flexible and of course repurposed water bottles – these are a win all around! In three years, Rothys has repurposed over 20 million water bottles and counting which is fantastic. I love the innovative thought process behind the creation of the shoe and what the brand stands for in terms of sustainability as well.

I am thinking about ordering another style, have you tried them? I love hearing your recommendations and unique perspectives!
