Happy Tuesday! The seventh edition of this series where I try on new pieces and provide suggestions for styling them multiple ways have arrived.

This week has several different brands and retailers included. The more I prepare these posts, the more I like to experiment with different combinations and styles.

Let’s get started!

Puff Sleeve Pullover

I love a puff sleeve and I am excited this trend has been hovering around for a while now. This sweatshirt is so warm and cozy (all of the function of a traditional sweatshirt) but with a dressed up cuteness factor. It’s 100% cotton and the color is the perfect shade of ballet pink and goes with jeans, black pants, or your favorite joggers.

Add a statement necklace (like this one) to dress it up further and add a bit of drama to the already fun puff sleeve.

Gibson Ponte Top and Joggers

Jogging pants have a whole new look and ability to be dressed up. No longer are they made out of solely sweatsuit material and meant for just the gym, but now they can be worn with heels, flats, or sneakers for a casual or dressy feel that is as comfortable as can be.

I am wearing the Gibson x Living in Yellow Knit Ponte Jogger. The ponte material allows for a bit more versatility since it is the same as other pants you might be wearing to the office. Thicker than a legging, ponte is more of a dress pant material with stretch.

Joggers | Off The Shoulder Top

I styled the pants here with an off the shoulder top from Gibson in the same soft material. Switching the shoes from heels to sneakers for around town changes the look as would adding a dramatic earring to the dressed up version with heels!

The top goes well with the joggers, jeans, or a dressier pant and would be perfect for the upcoming holidays or a date night or girls night out. I am all about comfort and soft materials that also look dressed up!

Plaid Crop Flare Pants

I know I’ve said this before, but I am loving the Mad for Plaid trend. These pants from Banana Republic are a charcoal grey glenplaid with a cropped flare cut which can be dressed up or down. They have a high-waist and are available in Short, Regular, and Long for the inseam. I am wearing the Short length and I am 5’2” for reference.

Plaid Pants | Pink Top (similar) | Blazer | Camel Cardigan | Denim Jacket | Pink Heels (similar) | Oxfords

I think of these types of pants as a typical office or workwear material, but pop on sneakers and a sweater and you can just as easily wear them on the weekend or a casual Friday. I also love these pants with the new platform oxford shoes from the Halogen x Atlantic-Pacific collection (available in several colors and you guessed it, plaid!!!).

In all three pictures, I am wearing a pink shirt and pink heels that are no longer available, but I have linked similar ones above and I’ll include a few options in the Shop The Post section at the bottom of this article.

Madewell Clipdot Ruffle Top

Last but not least in this week’s edition of Try it on Tuesday is the Madewell Clipdot Ruffle Top. I bought this in the Madewell store and it kept catching my eye. I walked by it several times and also walked out of the store and then back in again. It’s really soft and I could picture it for casual wear or dressed up. It is also great on its own when the weather is warm and layers well under a sweater, blazer, or jacket for a chilly day.

It’s available in three different colors (green, rust, and pink which is so pretty) and all are a great choice and perfectly neutral to match between your existing wardrobe items.

Top | Jeans | Black Pants | Blazer

I have the shirt paired with Everlane Kick Crop jeans (that I altered myself with scissors since they have a raw hem to begin with) so you can see it all on its own. Pair it with heels, black pants and a blazer for the office, or change into sneakers and a denim jacket (or cardigan) for a more casual weekend vibe.

That is all for this edition of this week’s try-on session. Which look was your favorite? Which piece would you like to try in your wardrobe? Let me know in the comments below!
